Day 1 - The Adventure Begins

Surrounded by the debris of the small town of Lakedge, was probably not the way anyone in the town planned to wake up. Nevertheless, that is exactly how they did wake up. At least those who could wake up.

Standing out amongst the survivors of Lakedge were four travelers, each of them in town for different reasons, all of them unable to remember what exactly had flattened the town.

Mirage, a somewhat eccentric elven sorceress, searched for answers through basic magic, her trusted familiar Wish, and a rather unhelpful crystal ball. She discovered only that the town was flattened by an unnamed magical effect of great power and that a distant dust cloud was disappearing to the east.

Larry, a Moonling who just came into town to line his pockets before moving on, discovered many dead bodies around him and quickly divested them of their gold. Soon enough, he met up with Kolban.

Kolban, a truly ugly example of an already ugly race, is a rather big guy, who along with his new friend Larry, noticed the shining of an object; and like crows to silver, went straight to it. They both discovered Mirage and her shining crystal ball.

In the meantime, a freakishly fancy version of an elf managed to find the only building in town still standing. He quickly and decisively corrected the situation by try to open up the door. He too, noticed something shining in the corner of his eye and started towards it.

The four met up near the tree where Mirage, for some odd reason, decided to climb a tree. Introduction were made by way of greeting, insults, threats, coming out of hiding and a little magical charming.

During this interlude of uhm.... friend making, the fancy elf took a detour outside the edge of the town and found he suddenly felt better, more energetic and overall happier than in the limits of ruined Lakedge. For some reason, probably his morbid sense of humor, he decided to walk back into town and tell them about his literally "happy" discovery.

After more insults and threats were traded for good measure, they all walked out of town together. They quickly went to the lake after which the town was named, which was completely devoid of water and moisture. A quick investigation turned up only that dead fish are incredibly stinky and that the erosion on the walls of the lake was pointing up.

Next time: Well...uhm...we'll see. (In other words, I don't have a clue)
